The task for this project was to designing a short 8 Paged Booklet around a haiku of my choice. The goal of the design was to convey the designer's interpretation of the haiku through a coherent, simplistic, and non-literal design.
Sketching and Planning
After picking and reading the haiku, sketches on different ideas were made. The ideas were based on two interpretations of the poem (one with a happier tone and one with a bleaker tone).
Digital Iterations
After picking my two ideas, the designs were put through a short class review to decide which of the two should be further developed. The decision was eventually made to move forward with the more negative design concept.
